When people think about going back to school, fall is usually the season that comes to mind. With cosmetology school however, classes start year round! Here’s why a spring start cosmetology program could be the fresh start you’ve been looking for.
A Fresh Start After Winter
After months of cold weather, short days, and holiday hustle, spring feels like a reset button.
This season brings new energy, longer days, and a sense of renewal. What better time to kick off your education than when everything around you is coming back to life?
Enjoy the Nice Weather at School
Worried about being stuck indoors when the sun is finally shining? Not here.
At the Atelier, with our open concept campus and large garage doors throughout our whole campus, we bring the fresh air indoors.
Here you never feel like you have to compromise your education with beautiful spring and summer days.

Experience the Industry Seasons
Our cosmetology program takes an average of 11 months to complete.
After the first 7 weeks of the program, you’ll be on the floor taking clients under the guidance of your instructors.
This means you’ll get to experience the ebbs and flows of a year in the beauty industry. This includes back-to-school, the holiday rush, homecoming and prom, and the start of wedding season.
Becoming familiar with the ups and downs of the year will give you extra insight on what to expect when you get to the salon.
Graduate by Next Summer
Students typically finish our cosmetology program in a little under a year.
That means if you start in spring, you’ll be wrapping up just in time for the following summer.
From there, you can take a well-deserved break before your career begins or dive straight into the industry.
Enjoy a Summer Break (If You Want It)
Let’s be real, cosmetology school is exciting but also rigorous.
A spring start sets you up to finish by the following summer, giving you the chance to recharge before jumping into your new career path.

Build Your Clientele Before the Holidays
For those eager to begin their career right away, summer is a great time to get started.
While some salons allow you to take clients right away, some require new cosmetologists to complete an advanced training program or apprenticeship before opening their books.
The average advanced training program can take between 3-6 months before new starts can start accepting clients.
If you begin your job search right after graduation, you’ll finish training just in time to take on clients during the busy holiday season (one of the biggest times of year in the beauty industry!).
Ready to Begin?
While fall may seem like the traditional time to go back to school, spring offers the perfect mix of fresh energy, great weather, and smart timing.
