Located right on Mainstreet in the heart of downtown Hopkins, Minnesota, The Atelier Academy is a boutique-style beauty school that benefits from both the diverse culture of the Twin Cities as well as the comfort of small-town Minnesota. Here, we can offer our students a hands-on education built on the most comprehensive cosmetology programs in Minneapolis and Saint Paul.
Our clinic floor is open the the public, for anyone who wishes to receive hair, waxing, makeup or nail services. From highlights to luxury pedicures to airbrush makeup, our students offer a wide range of services. A Better Beauty School
The Atelier Academy of Beauty was founded by William Anderson, a local hairdressing legend and owner of the luxurious Lili Salon Spa in the Galleria. His vision was to break free from the traditional beauty school education and create an academy dedicated to furthering the craft of cosmetology in Minnesota. Of course, a school this rigorous would need to be small and nimble enough to offer a cutting-edge education that changes with the latest techniques and trends. To achieve this, we partner with world-renowned brands like Mizani, Redken, OPI, and Pivot Point, immersing students in the beauty industry with the best tools and essential product knowledge available.
Education and real-world success is the core commitment here. After teaching the essentials for a Minnesota cosmetology license, we go on to teach career-savvy skills that win top jobs: career searching and interviewing, effective consultations, and communication skills that build clientele. So far, every Atelier graduate has passed their cosmetology state board exams, and have accepted positions in top-rate salons and spas.
Finally, we believe that flexibility is key. Classes are maintained small enough so that teaching style, curriculum, and even the schedule, is adjusted for every student. There is no such thing as one perfect education, so we try to achieve the ideal education for each student.
